When we decided to start exercising again after a long period of inactivity we often hesitate to choose. We do not know that the most appropriate activity. There are many that tempt us but we must consider several things before making a decision (age, physical condition, whether we smoke or not, time we have been inactive, which objectives etc.)
If we carry over 40 and inactive for several years, my advice is to start with a smooth and complete activities such as Pilates. Is anaerobic (protect our joints as there is no jumping or jerky movements), is comfortable and measure progress on the basis of pain and sacrifice that Pilates is no pain at all.
