Margarita Sayaka Valencia Triana geboren wurde 1980 in Tijuana. Sie ist Philosophin, Poet, essayist and performance artist. She is currently working on her doctorate in philosophy and feminist theory at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. Her poems were already published in various Mexican magazines and anthologies: Alforja, Tierra Adentro, Taladro, Textos, La Línea, Hoja de Poesia, Velocidad Critica y Otra Orilla.
